Floriculture is the business or cultivation of flowers the importance of floriculture is the usefulness or achievement in the dignity of flower business or agriculture. In fact, the speed at which flowers are being used and the demand for flowers is increasing day by day does not seem to have raised awareness about the importance of its cultivation or business. Floriculture or floriculture is likely to be established as a very lucrative, multi-purpose and lucrative business in today’s age and this is the importance of this business.

From birth to death, flowers are an integral part of human life, so the importance of this business is increasing today. After the arrival of the child on the earth, the well-wishers congratulate the parents of the child with a bouquet of flowers. Starting from here, the relationship between human and flower is growing. The Western tradition of offering bouquets on birthdays, weddings and other happy occasions has overwhelmed urban civilization. The practice of offering a bouquet of flowers, not only with a few tears of farewell, but also with tears of welcome, is evolving nowadays. When a person is disabled and sick, flowers are also given to wish him a speedy recovery.

Relatives who want to congratulate on promotion and new appointment offer a bouquet of flowers in a joyous atmosphere. On Valentine’s Day, lovers convey the feeling of the heart through a bouquet of flowers. Flowers are a beautiful gift of nature that accompanies happiness and sorrow. When a person attains a great position, he is given auspicious gifts of bouquets. Not only that, when it reaches the lap of death, it takes a bunch of flowers to pay homage to the earthly body. In this way, the flower that is constantly used in the events of life from birth to death and in the moments of life such as happiness, sorrow, joy, pain, tears and laughter, is accompanying the happiness and sorrow of human life.
Therefore, the importance of its cultivation is self-evident in terms of multi-purpose flower. Since florists can reap huge benefits from floriculture, floriculture can be developed as an important business here.

This business does not only flourish from the forest flowers that bloom in the forest itself. For this, flower business has to be done in a planned manner. Nepal is a very suitable land for flower business, diverse climate is required for flower business and Nepal is a country with diverse climate. Here, in addition to our seasonal flowers like centipede, velvet, champa, laligurans, the production and business of exotic flowers and cutting flowers has added a new dimension to the market.Attraction to exotic flowers has attracted florists to its cultivation. Flower shops can be seen in the market in different places today than yesterday. According to Hindu rites and beliefs, flowers are offerings to the deity. The merchants who sell flowers in the temple premises have been earning their living. If flowers can be cultivated in the villages and brought to the cities, the economic condition of the people can be improved. Flowers have been used extensively in many Hindu festivals, festivals, fasts, rituals, etc. and its importance has been there since time immemorial. Another important aspect of floriculture is its association with beekeeping and agribusiness.

Along with floriculture, bee keeping business can also be conducted in rural areas. Planting centipede and other flowers as infestation with other cultivators helps in controlling various diseases and pests as well as nematodes in the soil.It can be said that floriculture is equally important in all parts of Nepal. Floriculture is more important in the eastern region than in the western region of Nepal. In a country with a growing interest in flowers and a diverse environment like ours, it seems to be very fruitful to run this business.The importance of floriculture seems to be increasing more sharply today than yesterday. If the government, like other businesses, provides the necessary facilities for the operation of this business and highlights its importance through the media, the floriculture business can affect and surpass Nepal’s tourism business as well.

Today, the flower business is not limited to placing flowers on the head in front of the temples of gods and goddesses. Bouquets are also being distributed in commercial and other business centers. From this, the future of floriculture is bright and it can be said that Nepali entrepreneurs can earn ample income by embracing floriculture.
